Meet Christine

Christine Marks has been a classroom teacher for grades k, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6. In addition, she has been a Reading Recovery teacher for 10 years and a Reading Specialist for 6 years. Throughout her impressive teaching career, she has taught all types of struggling students. She has also utilized many reading programs. None addressed the key reading issues Christine found essential to learning to read. To address weaknesses she had found in other reading programs, she developed the CHUNK READING program. Though her students had diverse learning abilities and styles, her students found the CHUNK READING program fun and engaging. As their reading skills improved, so did their confidence.
